Who are Working Transitions?

Working Transitions is the UK’s leading transition specialist.  For over twenty years, they have been helping people who are faced with redundancy to develop the practical skills and confidence to be able to move forward positively with their careers.  Their role is to provide independent, confidential, and tailored support and advice for each person affected by the proposed changes. They have supported over 750,000 people across all backgrounds and disciplines, from over 1,000 different organisations, to achieve their career goals.

We will provide you with tailored support to assist you in positively moving forward in your career.  Your programme is a flexible support programme which provides you with a fixed number of support options.  A range of services will be available to you, each with a support option value.  You can use your 5 support options to access those services which will be of greatest benefit to you:

• Individual Career Coaching

• Group Workshops

• Programme of Live Virtual Workshops

• Skillsoft e-Learning

• Video Arts e-Learning

In addition you will have unlimited access for up to 12 months to an online career portal, support by telephone and an employee assistance programme.

Time with your Career Coach

1 SUPPORT OPTION = 1 HOUR CAREER COACHING

You will be carefully matched to one of our locally based career coaches. Your career coach will arrange meetings directly with you, either on-site, or at a local venue. Alternatively you can choose to have your coaching sessions delivered by telephone or Skype.

This means that meeting with your career coach is always at the most convenient time and place for you and does not require you to travel long distances to access support. The career coach will adopt a highly tailored approach to your support depending on your needs and you can use your time to help with a wide range of topics, for example:

interview techniques

job campaigning

online application support

social media profile building

accessing the hidden job market

part-time or portfolio working

planning for retirement, self employment, retraining and further education

VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

1 SUPPORT OPTION = 1 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

Virtual workshops are delivered by an experienced career coach and are available on a wide range of subjects. They can be accessed via PC, tablet or mobile and are interactive and practical with ample opportunity to ask questions. You will receive a copy of a comprehensive workbook.

PowerMyCareer™, our web-based career transition portal, is your online gateway to success. From job leads to video tips, PowerMyCareer™ brings you interactive content and tools hat enhance your effectiveness in achieving your career objectives.

As a web-based system, there are no complicated apps or operating system issues to address. PowerMyCareer™ is easily accessible anywhere, anytime and by any web-enabled phone, tablet, laptop or computer! Access is available on an unlimited basis for up to 12 months.

You may contact your Personal Career Manager as frequently as required throughout your programme and for 100 days after you commence a new role.
